STOP AEGIS FORECLOSURE

About Aegis Mortgage

Aegis Mortgage Corporation was a nationwide mortgage banking company in the business of originating, purchasing, selling, servicing and securitizing mortgage loans through a diverse network of distribution channels organized as wholly owned subsidiaries. Aegis Mortgage Corporation was registered with the Commissioner as a loan servicer under Massachusetts General Laws chapter 93, section 24A.

On Tuesday March 20th, 2007 Aegis Lending, the subsidiary of Aegis Mortgage Corporation closed all but five branches nationwide. Laying off hundreds and  possibly thousands of people nationwide. This was done with no notice and only two weeks of severance pay from the already minimum wage salary. The five branches that were left open were the top producing branches in the company. While Aegis fought going under they also tried rolling out high priced prime product to maximize their revenue before the company closes it's doors.  On Friday, June 29, 2007, Aegis Home Equity announced that they were no longer accepting new loan applications.  They funded their last loan on July 31, 2007.

Foreclosure Prevention Options
